How hard is it to set up a tommy Hogg sight and how well do they hold up going through the brush is there something that locks down the adjustments so nothing moves was thinking of buying a single pin and getting it sighted in before the end of the month.

They are bulletproof and everything locks in place. Have never had anything move or break on any of my Spot Hogg sights. Check out the videos Spot Hogg has on youtube for an idea on how to set them up. If you have any trouble, and you live in Springfield....just go into The Bow Rack and they will hook you up.

Super easy and I would trust it to be more durable than about any other sight out there. I had mine set up (with help from a pro shop) in two days. Shoot in at 30, 40, 50 and have a shop get you a tape. Works great, with minor adjustments.

Chris can it be dialed in there. You guys only have 40yds max right I was under the impression you shot at 20 then 60 and figured out the tape from there

Yes suppose to set your 20, place your calibration scale and the find your 60. Depending on the letter that marks your 60yd will give your the correct tape to place on. I find it to be a little more accurate to use 30 and 60 instead of 20. All this after you set your levels. Usually takes 20 min or so. Built to last for sure

Yes our range is only forty. I could get you set up and dialed at 20 and go over the process of using their calibration tapes or even build you a tape with Archers Advantage

You'll love the sight. I just got one this summer and it's bullet proof. Super easy to set up. I went with the .010 pin and love the micro aiming it allows even at long range. Have you read the "trick pin" article on this site? If not, it's a game changer.

When I get the sight I will come in and get all set up I ordered one with a .010 pin but supposedly they are back ordered 3 weeks through spot Hogg atleast that's what S&S archery said

I still prefer to make my own tapes using a program like Archer's Advantage of Software for Archers. I guess I can't comment on whether they are more accurate, since I have never used the tapes that come with the sight, but sure seems like they should be. I tweak mine until perfect.
