How do you remove the sights from a Tikka Ranch Ranahan

I was deciding between a Tikka Ranahan and a regular T3x and picked the Ranahan because I liked some of the other features it offered and they were similar prices _and_ I had read you could remove the sights. I sat down to remove them today and the rear sight came off easy, the front one I remove the set screw but the rest of it won't come off. If I slap it around a little it wiggles and elsewhere online I read to "heat it up and pull it off" which feels a) like a lot of effort and b) I don't know what that looks like in practice.

Any tips?

Sounds like theres still a screw on there. You did pull two screws outta the front sight?

LOL, which two screws, I only saw the one to the aft of the sight:

Alright that was the trick, I had to shimmy off the metal guard to get access to even more shimmying of the front dayglow sight and that revealed the screw.

Thanks all!

I just taught myself how to remove the front sight tonight then saw this thread.
We need someone with machining skills to mock up some plug screws.

Why? Just get an M4 x 0.5 grub screw.

I just tried to order a bunch of these to make available to others on this thread(pun?) and the website said not available to ship to my address.
