Just like the post states, how do you guys carry your RF while spot and stalking? I tried a Range Snap on my nimrod bino harness last year, and while it worked ok, I know there's gotta be other options out there. I'm really looking for something that will work with a S4 Lockdown bino harness preferably. I originally though about getting something like this, but if I attach it to my pack and take my pack off to stalk in closer then I'll have to switch the rangefinder onto my belt, and I can already picture myself setting my eyes on abeautiful 4x4 buck and being in such a big hurry to get in position that I forget my RF! So what are you guys using? What have you found that works best?

Fhf rangefinder pouch is the best that I have tried, I put it right next to my bino harness. I've used lanyards, and belt mounted and neither are as good.

Horn hunter range wrap. Best system I've found. Strap the plate to my bino harness. The magnet makes it quiet and easy to deploy.

Rangesnap won't fit around the lockdown strap. The horn hunter range wrap looks promising though. Does the FHF come with some way to secure my RF if I drop it and attach my release to the d-loop?

Yes, they sell a lanyard that attaches to the pouch and RF. you can just drop it and shoot. But, it's an add on.

I put them around my neck and in my chest pocket. If a shirt doesn't have a chest pocket, I sew one on. Just the way I like doing it I guess, never seen a reason to change.

I had a range snap for the last several years and a home made version of one for years prior to that. The HH Rangewrap is superior in every regard.

Bob, that doesnt bounce around a lot and get dust on the lens when belly crawling in on bedded mulies?

You guys running the FHF pouch have any trouble getting your RF out of the pouch, looking at the dimensions my Leupold RX750 might be a tight fit. I emailed Paul to ask his thoughts, I don't want to drop the money on it and have to return it.

You mind taking some pictures of how it attaches to your buno harness strap, I can't find any pictures online.

I use the horn hunter binohub. Rangefinder magnets to the side or bottom of the padded covered bino case. Before that I used a magnetic holder/wrap and mounted the base to the hard top of the s4 lockdown. It took some rigging but it held the rangefinder really well, right above my binos. It would sit horizontally so rain and debris wouldn't collect in the eyepiece...my only complaint with the hornhunter setup.

I had a FHF RF pouch. Leopold tbr1000 rf fits in it perfect. Not sure if the leupold 750 is different

Justin, looks like my 750 is a little bigger than your 1000.

Here's the dimensions for the 750: 4.2L x 3.0 H x 1.63W

Here's the dimensions for the 1000: 3.8L x 2.8 H x 1.3W

Think there's enough play for it to not be an issue?

I run mine in my Alaska Guide Creations bino pouch. Seen a couple buddy's now with the FHF system and while it works it just wasn't as smooth to operate nor as sleek for my uses as the AGC bino pouch. To each their own though obviously.
