I put the heads in first and pack things around them. Out of sight out of mind. Antlers in plain view invite thieves and encourage more game checks. Show and tell when you get home.

Strap then down and carry proudly.

One thing I see all too often is the head and cape still attached. If you're planning a shoulder mount, you want to get that cape off the head and chilled asap.

You can get creative, you'll figure something out! Ratchet straps to the top of the coolers, they really don't take up that much space when they stick up in the air!

I mean, I was only 30 minutes from my house with no interstate and mostly all gravel where almost everyone hunts, so I wasn't exactly worried about it...

Until you are in the woods on tight forest roads…which is where I spend most of my time. 4 door with an 8 foot bed is a nightmare out there.

Acting like there’s only 1 correct answer for everyone is worthless.

Exactly. That’s why I love my Tacoma. Not great for 4x8 sheets of plywood, but that’s like 1% of my use case. Obviously contractors and farmers etc… have different needs than I do.

Worked out great Tk u all we did wrap them with bubble wrap at a few contact points and used our ground pads around the top tines until we got back to our home town. Once one was unloaded (bottom pic)
