How do you carry your sunglasses?

I had a melanoma removed a couple years ago so I have to be extra careful with Sun exposure now (sins of my youth). I like having sunglasses for midday and above Timberline, but I haven't come up with a good way to keep them from getting scratched or crushed in my pack while not in use. All of the carry cases I see at REI, academy etc are extremely heavy for the value. Hoping there is a simple solution out there...

Either on my face or on my hat like all the cool kids do. If its early morning before daylight I just put them in my shirt pocket since as soon as the sun comes up I will be wearing them and my regular glasses will be in the shirt pocket.

I put them in the bottom pocket of my bino harness with my lense pen or on my hat.

I use the Costa case they came in, it light weight and I can bury them anywhere without them getting crushed

I use a zip up Oakley case. Sturdy and very light. A little bulky but won't crush and metal hinges
