How cold is it?

Anchorage set a record yesterday with a smoldering 49° temperature. As I write this, it's 5:30 AM and 35° at my house. This weather sucks ass!!!

I think it was -17 here in Central MN last night. We are suppose to hit a high of 13 this afternoon, then back down to -20 tonight and not above zero all weekend. I've lived here all my life (47 years) and remember a lot more snow and some cold back in the 70s and 80s, but never this cold for this long. We are known for cold temps in the state, but I don't think we've had five days in the 20s all winter. We've had 50 some days of sub-zero temps this winter so far and a lot of days it didn't get above zero for a daytime high. Time to move!

Only -17......I thought you guys got to -40 or something with the last cold front that moved through. The way everyone was talking up there you'd of thought it was the north pole. We even hit -17 here this year, coldest I've seen here in years. Yesterday was in the 60's.......today supposed to be the same.

35 this morning, It was 54 when I got home from work yesterday. Nice to go shoot my bow in a sweatshirt!

I bet it got that cold in the upper peninsula.

its 9 now here in west central WI. It was -4 when I drove to work this morning. Its been so cold for so long I didnt even think it was bad this morning. I usually enjoy the winter but this year sucks, too cold to do anything outside and everyone inside is sick. I need to become a sno-bird and move to Arizona for the winter.

This isn't as cold as it was a month ago. We had air temps in the -25 to -30 range with wind chills in the -50 to -60 range. It's 8 right now with no wind and feels like a heat wave. We're normally in the mid 30s this time of year.

At about the same time Troutbum had 35* in Anchorage (5:30am), we had 30* in Kenai AK. Nasty roads since it was raining at 10:30 last night. Still 30 now at 8:20. Supposed to hit 39 today.

Bend oregon it is 37 and partly cloudy. It has been freezing rain and fog for a few days so this is very nice. It always amazes me how warm 40 can be if it is sunny. I did christmas in south east mn that was cold.

I got word from my family that it was -25 this morning back in my hometown of Harrisville, MI.

Feeling lucky it was 42 here in Portland this morning!

Balmy 65 and sunny here today... Heading down the interstate to set turkey blinds for the opener in two weeks! :)
