Hot Weather pants

So already having three set of pants the teton , guide and chinook i am looking for a new pair for hot weather hunting in Australia. Temperate wise anywhere from 20 degrees to 35 degrees.

Stick with the tetons or get on to the attacks/alpine?

I guess with the tiburons i could use for late season hunts and just layer underneath.. But seeing i got three pairs for late season and cold weather hunts they would primarily be used for summer use in australia and new Zealand

I bought Tiburons for summer scouting in major brown to camouflage me from anti hunters. With a light base they would have temp rating close to attacks but the attacks will handle wind and moisture better. Tiburon has micro holes which lets water through. My dwr has wore off and because of the fast drying and holes I see no point in reapplying a dwr. If it was my call I wouldn't even make them with dwr. They are great for warm sunny weather. You can layer with them for late season just expect to use your rain pants often to block wind.

Been told to go with alpines but if i do i will have to many of the same pants. Tiburons seem like a better option and might order couple of the peloton tees as i currently have tetons. Doubt there will be major issues between either of them.

They will only be used for summer hunts... if i know the conditions will be cooler will take the chinooks with me instead.

Alpines are very similar to the Teton pants with the addition of knee pads and hip vents. Personally I didn't like the Alpines they just felt cool and clammy all the time so I was normally cold even when it wasn't cold out because the pants felt cold. Tiburons I had were very nice and comfortable.

I'll echo the tiburon suggestion. I've worn them into 100* temps. Nothing feels good in those temps, but tiburons with the vents open are as good as you're going to get for pants. They are very trim fitting, great for me, not so great if you have big thighs and a smaller waist.

I'll tell you.....I was very close to buying some new Kuiu pants for Antelope in NM this year knowing it was going to be up into the 80's and 90's. I decided to just wear my Eddie Bauer Guide pro pants....and man am I glad I did. I put them through some tough conditions crawling through the NM desert on stalks and not one hole or tear. They were light, comfortable and breath well. I would not hesitate to wear them again on a hot hunt. If you watch, EB will have sales and you can get them as low as $50 some times.

I always come back to cotton for hot weather. Having used the tiburons for a couple of years I find the synthetic material makes you sweat and they get stinky quick.

I like cotton pants that zip off into shorts the best.

Prana zion pant works very well. I live in Texas and wear these every day in the summer. Tough pant as well

I have a lot of hunting pants, FL Kanabs, FL guides, Prana zions, Kuiu Tetons, Kuiu tiburón.
For what I do (early season archery in Utah) the tiburóns are by far the best. Most days I am drenched in sweat at some point but I never got sweaty below the waist while wearing tiburons

I've always just used my FL kanabs and rolled them up when I got hot. Otherwise, prana Zions for a synthetic

Big fan of the Tiburons. They are my favorite hunting pant I've owned. They really shine when it's hot.

I've given up on pants entirely for the early season. I have taken to wearing shorts over a pair of merino baselayers. This year I wore a pair of Kuhl zip off pants over my lightweight merino. This worked great all day as I could take the legs off during high exertion and vent my whole base.

you won't beat the range from TUSX. it's an australian company too! their stone pants are great for hot weather and have been used extensively in the NT and cape york with excellent reports.
