Do these designs really help you stay cool on an early season antelope or mule deer stalk?

Yes. It keeps the sun off of you which keeps you cooler and minimizes the amount of sunscreen you need to wear vs a T shirt. It absorbs your sweat and the dries very quickly.a generous hood creates shade across across your face and catches some breeze. For prolonged sun exposure, it is the best solution to staying cool and protecting your skin.

outdoor research astro man hoody is the best I’ve found. I like the quarter zip neck. I think the equinox guard hoody from sitka has a nice fabric that feels cooler than their core lightweight hoody.

I have a Columbia PFG Omni-freeze zero 1/4 zip that I have worn deepsea fishing in Mexico, I was surprised at how well it worked. Fascinating technology.

Just got the shirt. I'll give it a run through this weekend. Wondering if a water soaked t shirt between it and my skin might give some additional evaporative cooling?
