Hornady ELD-X performance

I tested the Hornady Bore Drive ELD-X 340 grain bullet in my Remington Ultimate Muzzleloader in preparation for Colorado elk hunt. Using Williams Western iron sight configuration with 100 grains by weight of the Blackhorn 209 powder. My first to shots were in the same hole at 25 yards. I then moved the target out to 100 yards and fired two more shots. Shots were over lapping and measured .75 inch group. Average velocity of five rounds fired was 1975 FPS. I was very impressed with the velocity and grouping with iron sights. I did not clean the bore at all during the testing. Each round loaded smoothly. I look forward to my hunt and hope to be able to put an elk down and report on the terminal ballistics of the round.
