Hornady 3 in 1 trimmer

I called to voice my disappointment of .25 & .28 pilots not being included, hopefully others do the same. Their own description states "compatible with .22 - .30 cal cases".

Not having all the pilots available now seems like a mistake on their part for sure. While I could get by without, I have a couple of .284s that I’d like to easily trim.

Email [email protected] a copy of your recept and they will ship out .25 &.28 pilots not included in early production trimmers.

They sent me both the 25 and 28 pilots, I did not ask for 27 but they probably have that as well.

Still waiting for these to be in stock again. After prepping 1,000 pieces of 5.56, I’m ready to pony up for this. My fingers will thank my wallet.

Talked to hornady again today. They are sending me all the other 4 cutters not initially included under warranty.
I did fill out the warranty info when it showed up. So it was quick and easy for them to process.

Also asked about additional head cutter assembly, make it like a Henderson. They are currently on backorder but you can order/pay then wait. I don't have a parts number for you. The cost will be $59.99 plus $6.75 shipping. It could be a few weeks or months before in stock. Technical dept for the pilots and sales for the assembly.

I don’t have the Hornady but my Henderson averages 10 pieces a minute and held .0005 tolerance on my 6 creed the other day. You will definitely be glad to switch to this style of trimmer when it comes to speed.

Just received the trimmer and it works great well thought out and brings good innovation over most other products in the space. A big miss is that it only has pilots for .22, .243, .264 and .30. No other pilots will be available for at least 6-12 months. The stated intent from techs at Hornady is that this is for PRS shooters.....isnt .25 the new trend in PRS? Sorry for the rant really liking the product so far but would like Hornady to lean in and provide other pilots sooner than later.

Pros: Super easy to adjust trim head to caliber not need for multiple trim heads, super quiet, clean and efficient. Was using Frankford and had a hard time switching calibers and repeating trim length without a log of trial and error. Well balanced can sit in place on table without being clamped while moving it around and so far super repeatable when swapping back to a cartridge from another setup.

I need more time with it but will most likely replace other tools for easy of use, speed and adaptability. Just need support for other cartridges.

Well thought out?!! LoL Thats because they ripped off a well made AMERICAN product... Henderson Trimmer and whipped out a chinaized version, even used the same color. Henderson is hands down the best trimmer out there!

Finally had a chance to use the trimmer - 100 pieces of 22 CM was a breeze.

Also, I purchased on 5/3. My trimmer came with the extra pilots. So I would assume they now all come with: 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, and 338.

Checked random cases every 10 or 15 trimmed and they were within .005”.

Looking forward to using this while processing bulk 5.56 and 300 BLK.
