Does anybody have recommendations for hog or exotic (doe/cull buck) hunting in TX on the cheap? Ranch recommendations? Looking to go in 1st quarter of 2021.

The Wildlife Ranch out of Mason, Texas was pretty good and prices were good IMHO. The will run some specials from time to time on specific animals. I have gone twice to bow hunt pigs and a ram. Just remember its more of a pick your animal and shoot kinda deal than a hunt. I tried to justify all of it by doing it with a bow.

Still a goodtime. We did it with about 15 guys so it was more of a social gathering than a hunt. I want to say that the pig hunts start out at $185 and that includes lodging. They have a good area to clean the animals and they bought an old nursing home in town as a lodge.

Another place I have gone for pigs only is Brushy Hill out of Sabinal, TX. If I remeber you have about 13,000 acres to run around on and try and kill a pig. They would be free rang no fences. The hunting was tough but thats what you should expect out of a free range pig hunt. The lodge was right on the ranch. They also had a kitchen house as well.

Depends on what you want but there are plenty of ranches that offer everything from high fence (not necessarily a pet and shoot deal) to free range. I’m going low fence in February with a ranch I have not hunted before. Feral goats, axis does and hogs are all in the menu. Timberlake ranch in dehanis tx offers a 2 day one axis doe and two hog deal for $500 that I’ve heard is good. Haven’t personally done it. Pm me for more info if you want. Wife’s from TX so I hunt exotics a couple times a year usually.
