These pckboots are poo poo caca. I've tried every kind of sock and they bunch up in front of boot within half hour of walking.
Worst dang winter boot I've ever had. Back to schnees for me..

I have the Hoffman Mountaineer. I wear a size 11 in just about everything and my Mountaineer are 11. Fit is true to size and no issues with socks or insoles or anything. I think they are a great boot. They are relatively heavy but I can walk pretty far in them comfortably … can even upland hunt in them if it’s super wet, snowy, and cold.

I have Schnee's hunter pack boots. I like them. I like a lighter pack boot. I use them for both deer and late season Pheasant. Nephew has Hoffman's and he likes them. They look like a nice boot. Probably warmer than my Schnee's.

Hey there - what boot do you have. I have never heard of a sock issue in our boots.

I've got a set of Double Insulated Guides and they tend to slowly pull my Darn Toughs down. It's not a show stopper but I have to give the socks a tug every 30 min or so. I love the boots still!

Interesting. Love the darn Tuff socks and they are really good quality. Boots fit OK?
They seem too. My suspicion is that it's due to my skinny ankles. I've got the 10" boots and don't tuck my pants into them so have to have them laced about as snug as they can get. I've been meaning to try taping a bit of boot fitting foam around my ankle outside of the liner but haven't gotten around to it.

Started using 2 pair socks and they stopped slipping.
Single pair socks still slip.
Boots been good since wearing 2 pair socks.
Which is typically what I run when wearing pack boot.
Been deer hunting in missouri, weather not been quite cold enough for 2 pair. It worked fine.

Typically only socks I use are darn tough and alpaca wool.

Fit is perfect with 2 pair of socks. Any smaller and they would be to tight for wearing a liner socks and wool sock
Sometimes when pack boots are a little loose I will slip a felt insole either inside the felt liner of the boot or under the felt liner on the footbed of the boot. The felt insole basically takes up some of the unwanted extra space in the boot to make it fit better. You might try that vs wearing 2 pairs of socks, which is a pain IMO.
