High quality boots or high quality pack?

Boots before everything in my opinion. A great pair of lightweight waterproof boots with great support and traction made a huge difference for me. I agree that you can buy a great used pack and a cheap bad one will make you just as miserable as bad boots. But I'll never skimp on boots again.

Boots first, pack second, glass third . Black ovis has a great deal on crispi thor2 right now if you’re a high country or desert guy

I’d like to hear yalls opinion on something. Would you rather have a phenomenal pair of boots with a sub par pack or a phenomenal pack with sub par boots?

Thanks

Great to see this information, I have read out somewhere the information that can be helpful to get the best workboots and that can more effective as well, You can get that information at - https://workgearz.com/

Look at eBay for Kenetrek boots and buy either used or returned boots from the Kenetrek Co. They had a bunch on there the other day pretty cheap.

....then you still have to drop serious dough on a pack the FITS too.

But guys always start with the rifle...

In general, boots. But also consider that boots can be interesting.....in my experience, good fitting, comfortable boots are very important, but they are also very person-specific.

Said differently, good fitting, comfortable boots are not always the most expensive boots. (Sure, when you spend more money, you expect that the more expensive boots will fit your feet great, but that's not always the case.)

Just because a pair of boots costs a lot of money doesn't mean they will fit your feet well or even be comfortable.

If you spend $200-$500+ on a pair of boots that don't fit well, that's waste of money.

Thanks guys. I ended up picking up a pair of Schnees Beartooth on sale. Hoping to find a used mystery ranch, exo, or kifaru down the road.

I had mediocre both on my first hunt. It was a six mile walk back when we punched the first tag. The backpack sucked the whole way, never meant to carry half a deer, but I got over it when it hit the tailgate. The blisters that ate my heels off pretty much ended the rest of the hunt for me
