No but being local in 80-81, they probably know the unit well enough to put you on elk

Hunted there with my dad maybe 15 years ago. Back then, was run by a character named RV Robertson. He might be dead now, he wasn't a young dude then. Food and accomodations were OK, not great, but couldn't beat the price. It was my first and only time hunting that area. The area near the ranch where you hunted LOOKED like it should be great elk country, but didn't see much elk. I shot a nice 6x6 first day of hunting but it was the only elk we saw the whole week. There were 20 or 30 other hunters there same week and only one or two other hunters even saw any elk and no one else shot one. Robertson's excuse was that weather was too warm that year. Was unusually warm.
