I bought a couple sets of 46 Rail gear this year for me and was impressed, would like to buy my wife some similar quality gear! Prois is the only brand I've seen that actually has women's cut clothing and best I can tell they operate kind of like Kuiu and don't have dealers so it's hard to know what I'm buying for her! Who else makes dedicated women's hunting clothing?

Not sure if they still are in business since I haven't seen any ads in a while, but there was a company in Texas called She Safari that was owned/operated by a lady and made very nice gear.

I set my wife up with the First Lite line, she's about 5'8" 125lbs and fit perfectly in the small Kanab 2's. The pants run really small and actually look like they were cut for her. She loves the stuff, all fits great and kept her warm and comfortable. FL also has the corrogate pants in womens but are testing them out right now and hasn't released them.

I tried on a Prois puffy at the SHOT show last year, and was not impressed with the cut, fit or loft, especially for the price. Their other clothing options seem designed more to look good in a tree stand than to be truly functional for a serious female Hunter, especially at that price point. Tight fitting pants without stretch for ease of movement, form fitting layers in camo print synthetics fabrics, etc...Many better options available, at least IMO.

Any women's good quality clothing from an outdoor or mountaineering company should serve her well, it just may not be camo. I usually just run earth tone solids and don't worry about it. Companies like arcteryx, OR, Westcomb mojntaineering and Rab make quality gear that function for difficult activities in tough terrain. I would look on Sierra Trading Post, or your local outdoors store. If camo is a huge priority, some men's gear might be an option. Kryptek does offer size small, and I believe Sitka might as well...I can sometimes wear men's small sized gear (I am 5'3, 135lbs) but the cut is often not quite right so it depends on the particular item and intended use.

The first lite women's line is also excellent, I am working on a review that should be up here on Rokslide by December... I Have been running the Artemis and lupine merino tops all season, and picked up a second hoody because they are that amazing. Only have a few days in the baselayer bottoms so far, but they are well made and have features carefully designed for high performance....wide waistbands that done bind, and good cut for a woman's curvier body. First lite just started offering a women's line last winter, and I think the plan is to expand from the baselayers to other clothes like pants and outerwear. I have talked to the first lite guys at length, ands it's really important to them that they do their women's line right and design it to women's specific shape and needs as opposed to just making a smaller version of their men's line and call it good. This takes time for research, design and testing, so be patient with them...if the baselayers are any indication the rest of the gear in the first lite ladies line will be well worth waiting for.

The wife likes the fit and cut of the underarmour womens hunting line.

But, is way overpriced for what it is. More of a fashion statement. There cold weather gear leaves a lot to be desired. She ended up going with "herters" from cabelas for late season whitetail. Here in alberta we see some cold temps. And it is a struggle for her to keep warm without the mess of an ungodly amount of layers. Good value given the price of insulated bibs is the same price as a UA shirt.

Ditto on what Becca says.

My wife is 5'2" and weighs 93 lbs. Xs sizing hard to find. She has a pair of Arceteryx hiking pants in gray. She has the First Lite womens line that is excellent.

I did find some women's Kings Camo on clearance in a vest and jacket to get us through he year. It fits really well, but not something I would consider for her permanently.

First Lite will clean up when it gets its full women's line out. I have all KUIU, but am impressed with the quality of First Lite this year.
