Hemming Rain Gear?

Hi, my dad recently got the Takur series since Kryptek had a super discount on some of their old inventory in the clearance cave (so no returns). The pants are a little long and he is wondering if there was anyone who ever tried to hem/shorten rain pants. With the side zips I told him it would be difficult, but told him that there might be a chance someone on this thread could have a solution. Tried emailing Kryptek twice with no response, but I think they might be busy with inventory right now. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
