help with workouts

i am just wondering what everybody does for workouts if they can go to a gym. i work a job that my hours are crazy most the year and i cant get to a gym most times after work they all closed and closed when i go. i dont have much for weights at home. i run 5 miles every other day and every other week hike like 5 or 10 miles with my pack loaded down with like 50 to 100 pounds. so what would you all reccomend for me tell i can buy a home gym system. need to build the upper body my job of busting tires on tractors and big rigs all day does a ok job of it but not like i used to be when i lifted everyday a lot of strenght and muscle has went MIA

5 to 600 push ups a week would do a lot of good at home.

Mens Health has some good books that help with dumb bell work outs. Pick up a few sets of dumb bells and its a good resource.

I'd be checking the local craigslist for dumbbells, benches, and other workout gear for cheap. If you cant get to the gym, bring the gym to you.

Take a look at the MARSOC Shortcard workout. If you google it a PDF should come up. I've had good results doing it even when I didn't have access to a pool by substituiting bike riding for swimming. All you would need would be a bike and a pull up bar.
