How to use that new SWFA scope- reticle, turrets and proper usage.

I have gotten a bunch of requests to write up a "how to" for the SWFA Milquad reticle. It is the 6x42mm SS with MQ reticle in the pictures, however the process and use is the same as long as you have a scope who's reticle matches the turret adjustments- mil/mil or MOA/MO...

I learned how to use MOA strictly and have personally struggled with transitioning to MIL. This artilce makes it so simple. Thanks man!

SWFA 6x SS with MQ reticle, SWFA SS 3-9x, Bushnell LRHS 3-12x.

Yes, 6x is enough magnification for 500 yard game, and 1k targets, it’s also fine at close ranges.

I like a Mil reticle or a basic plex reticle, I’m not a fan of generic BDC reticles and I prefer MILs over MOA.

right now my favorite scope is a nightforce Nxs 2.5-10x42 Mil/Mil. I find it very simple, work up a load, chrono it, print a chart, verify the drops and I’m good to go. I can dial or just shoot with the reticle. That being said, I don’t shoot much past 500yds.

there has been a few SWFA 3-15 mil/mil scopes for sale in the classifieds, I’d grab one and spend the rest of the $$$ on Ammo and whiskey.
