I need advise on what insole to get for my hunting boots. I have very flat feet and the boot I have is Kenetrek Mountain extreme. What has worked for you?

I use Superfeet but folks often get an arch support that's to high. On rough terrain and uphill climbs, to much arch can really dig into your feet and make them sore. Just go to the store and lay the insole on the floor and stand on it in your stocking feet. It should hit in the right spot and feel natural. You can compare sizes. What counts is the heel cup and arch support fitting your foot. Length can be trimmed with a scissors so try a couple different sizes. I'd say go with the lowest arch that provides support.

Go on the Tread Labs website walk on a piece of brown paper out of the shower with wet feet and match your insole to their diagrams. I have medium arch and their insoles are great and hold up.

My feet need more padding. I tried several superfeet and they were way to hard for my feet. I'm on my feet in the field every day at work, I've had good luck with cheap $20 Spencos from Sportsmans warehouse. I tried several different insoles in the store and use the ones with the most padding. I usually buy my boots around 1/2 to 1 size larger so there is room for thicker/padded insoles plus socks with different thicknesses of padding in the sole area.

Sportsman's actually has a deal you can stand on that shows exactly your foot imprint/profile and what style of insoles you may need.

Superfeet hunt comfort with merino wool, add warmth and moisture control, are not slippy so I don't get hot spots even in slicker socks, have a good blend of cushion and support.
