Help with gun value, Marlin 336 Dark

I have one of the original marlin 336 dark rifles sitting in my safe, never been shot. I won it in a raffle 5 or 6 years ago. I dont think ill ever use it.
Looks like they sell for 1500-1800$ on gunbroker, that would buy me a rifle I would use for sure... is this a realistic value for this rifle?

what should I ask for an unfired safe queen?

Gunbroker’s advanced search has a “completed items” tab. There it looks like auctions for your rifle end between 1300-1600, though I didn’t compare conditions. But this feature is useful for comparing what they’re listed at vs what people are bidding.
