I’ve tried that, it’s closer to a half inch than 1/4” when you move it to the other side, not even close on that side

It's currently set up in max to the left mode. If you are hitting right, you need to move the sight right. The L bracket and the other vertical post give a couple of ways to do that.

Exactly. That L bracket can be positioned in several different ways. It doesn't have to more to the other extreme side of the sight. There's probably 4 different ways to set that bracket for the left right position.

Reset the dial on the sight to the middle for left/ right. Change positions of L bracket.
