One more vote for these, for the aforementioned reasons.GSI drip collapsible is our camp favorite. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NGZ2MOY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Paper filters and no cleanup. As for coffee, I'm a big fan of Peet's, particularly the African beans.
Agree, a percolator makes a great cup of coffee, but they take forever to boil water and use a bunch of fuel.Old fashioned percolator works great.

I use a jet boil for backpacking and a percolator for horse camps . Just pre grind good coffee and boil it for 3-4 mins while it’s rolling, then pour a splash of cold water on it and the grinds will settle and you won’t be drinking them. Works great and you don’t need extra gear.I've gutted down Starbucks via for 5 years. To me, it's bitter and hard on toilet paper...Tried black rifle this year...same.
Im not a coffee snob, but damn sure have to have it. 30oz every morning to function. McCafe, Folgers, Black Rifle various blends, Moose Munch. I like almost all "real" coffee at home.
Educate me on how to get regular coffee without dragging a Bunn and a generator to camp.
Hope you all don't mind me reviving an old thread, but I came across this French Press on Amazon and thought I would mention it here.
Stanley Adventure All-in-One, Boil + Brewer French Press Coffee Maker
I really like my Stanley cook set and this looks similar. I also bring along a French Press for coffee (forget name), however it is plastic and adds extra bulk to my pack. I am thinking that I could ditch the Stanley cook set and extra plastic French Press and simply use this Stanley French Press to pull double duty.
It has great reviews on Amazon, but was wondering if any coffee drinkin' Roksliders had any first hand experience with this French Press.
