Hey guys,
I know there are hundreds of threads just like this, but there is so much it’s overwhelming and is where to start.

I have Brunton Eterna 10x32s and 11x45. I inherited both. The optical quality of both is great in my amateur opinion, but they are so heavy I rarely carry them hiking or birdwatching and opt for a little pair of swaro pocket binos i inherited.

I’d like a pair of 8x42 binos that are lighter weight and at least as good optically. I had diamondbacks and they were a big step down.

Would something like the Leupold bx4 be an upgrade optically? They are currently on sale for 499. I could step it up to the 1k range but I’d like to keep it cheaper, and from a big brand that offers a good warranty.

Thanks.

So you think another thread with every post suggesting something else will clarify it for you?
Thanks for the help 😉
To be fair, I feel like I have some specific parameters. Under 1k, lightweight, big name brand, 8x42, for birding, wildlife viewing, and hunting, and Eve asked if anyone with experience with bx4s and Brunton thinks they would be an upgrade
