Help me decide on binos

I have never had a good experience with Zeiss CS!! Took them almost 3 months to get my scope back.

Mtnboy , I don't hate Vortex at all. I've never made it out of a store with the vortex I've looked through as it didn't do anything special for me. I literally just set them back down and moved on . I couldn't even tell you what models I've looked through. I have been impressed enough to take the others outside and actually give them a serious look. I actually love the Zeiss Victorys I've looked through and a victory scope I owned for a season but like I said the warranty thing with my conquest scope was a turn off.

I looked at the Razor and the Conquest , both the Conquest and Razor were pretty darn nice , could not find anything in either to take one over the other . Money factor(me being cheap)and warranty , and customer service made decision for me and I ended up with the Viper HD 10 x 42 , which I am very happy with , to me you just cant beat that Vortex warranty , and even though I have not had to use it I have not heard anything but praise for their customer service . I don't think you could go wrong with the Vortex or the Zeiss , I think it comes down to personal choice , weigh the pros and cons , the warranty and the customer service and go with what you think is the best value for you .

BTW , the Vipers are made in Japan , I don't see any problem with that at all .

I just purchased some used Swarovski SLC 10x42 NEU's. I got them for about the same amount of a new set of Vortex Razors. I am very happy I made the purchase. I debated for a long time between the Razors,Leica Trinovids and the Conquest and Swarovski's I think it comes down to personal preference. Good luck with whatever you decide. Cant wait to hit the mountains soon!! Good luck to y'all

Watching this closely as I will be making a similar purchase soon. I put the cart before the horse and picked up a vortex razor spotter and now am upgrading binos. Spotter is great. Pretty much looking at the exact binos as the op. I think Zeiss was smart to undercut the euro hd and the razors. I thought I was set on the 10x42 razors but the Zeiss $100 rebate is tempting for what is probably slightly better glass than the razors but it sounds like the razors win on customer service and warranty. Tough decision.
