I rebarrelled a tikka with a 19" 35 whelen barrel and am wanting a compact lightweight can for it. I'm not overly concerned with maximum sound suppression, hearing safe is fine. Here are the ones I'm looking at, what are yalls thoughts? Any other suggestions?
AB Raptor 375 8
Rugged Alaskan 360ti
Precision armament titrex 360ti
Huxworks flow range 36ti
Griffin sportsman ultralight HD 36
Resilient ramblin man
Anechoic anechox 35

Of those on the list, I do t have any, but have an AB 10 and a anechox 45L. Between those two the AB is the better can. I like the AB and would not hesitate to buy another. I tend to run it without the reflex as the reflex is heavy for what it does for sound reduction. 11 oz as a DT and 15 with reflex. From what I could find, the reflex adds about 2 baffles of sound reduction. So an 8 with reflex is about the same as a 10 DT.

I am hope that unknown offers a 358/375 version of the new OG 30. That would be about perfect.

AB 8 with the 3" reflex all day.

If you're worried about length, get the 6 it'll be fine but the 8 is the way.

Don't get the 10 it's a novelty long dong of a suppressor.

Yeah I'm kinda thinking the AB 8 and not running the reflex. I wonder if that would get it down to hearing safe.

I really like my AB Raptor 10 with reflex on my 9.3x62s. I did cut my barrels to 18” to make it a bit shorter overall, but I would have done the same if I bought the 8. I would not consider it “novelty” length.

Unless or until Unknown comes out with a medium bore suppressor, AB is the best choice, imo. Of course, I haven’t actually fired any of the others.

I was thinking that before I had one but once you put it on the rifle balances better for carry and you just leave it on and forget about it.

I'm talking about the 3" reflex and a Raptor 8.

I have a 10 with a 5" reflex too. Shot the moon. Too big.

While we're splitting hairs, a Raptor 6 with a 3" reflex would be very close in form factor to a theoretical OG375.

With no reflex the 10 isn’t bad for length. I run it on a 360 buckhammer pistol with no issues. With the 5” reflex, it’s huge. Fine for range work, but not something I want to carry.

I expect the 8 DT is single shot hearing safe. I still wear electronic in ears, but have bad tinnitus and don’t want it any worse. Gunfire does make it worse.

For me, the 10 plus 5” is very pleasant to shoot and carry with an 18” barrel. I picked everything about my system with a view towards creating an 11# medium bore rifle.

I don’t have the luxury of comparing with an 8 and 10 for firing purposes, but the length and weight difference between the 8 and 10 isn’t enormous. It’s like 12 vs. 16 ounces. And I welcome the extra weight shooting a 286-grain bullet.

I have the Resilient Ramblin' Man on my 35 Whelen. It is a good suppressor and is flexible as it is configurable. The 2"/2.5" inches on the end unscrew so that you can run it long or shorter. It is titanium and is quit light considering its size. The end has R-Series end cap screw threads that enable you to run different end caps depending on the caliber you are mounting the suppressor on. You can also run a RecoilX brake on it. I have lately been running it on my heavy range/PRS rig in 6.5PRC and the Ramblin' Man with the RecoilX is very effective at recoil reduction with no concussion.

To show versatility.

I have the AB 8 stack on my 350l and never screwed on the reflex. It's not worth a possible 2 db reduction for the extra weight. Honestly, it would be a wise move if AB sold just the can for $750 and offer the reflex as an option. They'd be THE bargain TI can, and sell a lot more.

I like AB for existing mid/big bores options.

If you want a budget friendly option the JK Armament 155 versax in 9/45 cal option works fine with all stacks used. Tone is higher pitched tho.

You could check out the new OCL Universe 36. I like the wrench flats, big cartridge compatibility, and their top notch warranty.

Not even close to a AB for sound performance. I have one and it’s probably my worst performance can.
