I’ve been chasing bear for quite some time, and I’ve become obsessed with a particular bear that runs some very remote wilderness.

He’s tricky, and he’s wise. I came close to nailing him in fall 2024, but couldn’t get after him last year due to injury. For grins and conversation, how big you think this fella would go ?

You lookin for weight, square or skull guesses?

But I’ll jump in on this…I don’t think he’s as big as you think. Camera being so low makes him look big. Imma guess 7’ or a shade under. No clue on weight. Never weighed a bear so I’ll just say 300. Skull of 19 3/8ths. Lemme know when you bust him!!

You're almost there... those classifieds generate some fun posts.

If you want genuine guesses on the bear, please post the region the bear lives.

Ha! While the allure of “ gently used gear” sounds enthralling, I’ve been able to manage on my own thus far. I genuinely enjoy talking bears and sharing info. Simple as that.

Bear is in the Great American South. Gods Country, Bible Belt. A bear from the hill country.

Really hard to tell without a broadside photo but I would also say 300+
These two are as close to a broadside picture that I’ve got on him. I’m about to dive off the side of a mountain and attempt to locate him for the year. Hopefully big fella survived. I’ve enjoyed tracking him through the mountains. Pretty country out this way and I feel awful fortunate just to get the chance to do this.
