I need one of these!
Took a while to get the cad design worked out…Still patiently waiting and hoping this didn't fall off the to do list with all of the other stuff hereinaz is working on
These knives are so slicy…At first I wasn't really into these but now I need one...
I’m a fan boi for smaller blades, slicey, and a belly. Seems like these hit all 3These knives are so slicy…
Yes they are! Very sleek! These knives are so slicy…
Correct, AEB-LIf I’m not mistaken they’ll be AEB-L
So as I understand after a little googlefu, this steel can be made incredibly sharp, at the cost of wear resistance, so cutting non squishy things will dull it fairly quickly? So maybe plan on a quick field touch up while skinning, but it should take the edge again much more easily than my benchmade (in CPM 20 cv)?Correct, AEB-L
They are not the new super steels, but it’s always a trade off. These will be hard, AEB-L was developed as a razor steel, but not brittle or to hard to sharpen with common stones.
They will stay sharp, because the grind will take the edge to 10-12 thou, with the tip at about 20 thou before putting the edge on. @Dixie the final sharpening grind is about 3-5 degrees, right?
Everything about this knife is to make it a wicked slicy knife for skinning and meat prep, no compromises. The replaceable razor knives will seem dull and awkward after using the Dixie Zipper.
