Having a rough time trying to bend my wyatts 300 prc box. I’m close to ruining it after all the bending back and forth I feel like. I’ve never used a bdl rifle so honestly I don’t even know what the lips are supposed to look like. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Describe how the failure is happening (where, how in the cycle it’s failing).

What action are you using?

In my experience failure to feed is generally caused by factors other than mag box feed lips.

I’m using a kelbly atlas tactical with a wyatts 300 prc box. I’m trying to put this fully together myself and literally don’t know where to start on bending the lips.

Call Wyatt's and talk to Kevin. You may have to leave a message they'll call you back. He's always been very helpful whenever I talked to him about things.

A picture of where in the cycle your failure is occurring will be handy. Is your box a single stack?

That’s a great idea. I sent off an email to them. Hopefully they can point me in the right direction.

Attached is my most recent iteration. It’s still a little too wide for the cartridge, but again I have no idea. The pictures off google show very steep angles up front, almost no bend in the back. For some reason that doesn’t make sense to me. I imagine you want this to work by having the bolt catch the rim of the round and push all the way through to the feed lips. The follower makes it look like a staggered box, with a center feed to the chamber.

The PRC boxes are meant to stagger feed and it looks like you are trying to bend it to the point of making it center feed and that’s not going to work. It looks way over bent to the point that the cartridge isn’t going to touch the feed rails in the action. The box needs to work in concert with the feed rails on the action and not just the box itself.
