Help a new .300WSM reloader!

I've tested H4831 SC, H4350 in my 300 WSM with 180 grain, and found a little tighter groups with H4350 and a tad more speed. I use Norma brass. Highly suggest you get a drop tube to fill the cases with powder. I've had better results with Federal 210 primers, but I dont have many, so I use the Rem 9 1/2M's I found before prices started getting real high for primers.

I've tested Barnes TTSX 168 and 180 grain out of my Tikka 300 WSM, the 168 grain stabilized much better and I've had ~.7-.8 MOA groups to 400 yards. 180 grain barnes was .9- 1 MOA at best, mostly because I think it was due to the 1:11" twist barrel with long mono bullets, so if your wanting a mono bullet in this rifle and its a 1:11" twist like mine, you'll save some time working up a 168 grain load. I think it was 65.1 grains H4350 for 168 grain, going 3080 fps, plenty fast and that's what I ended up choosing to hunt with.

I tried 180 grain nosler accubonds and got those shooting .7 MOA as well as 180 grain Swift Scirrocos. Both did best at 62.7 grains H4350 going 2940 fps, I had to play with seating depth for these two bullets to find the best accuracy and the more jump the better.

I use H4831sc after trying a ton of others. I also shoot heavy for caliber bullets 205 and 208. I worked up a max load and have been extremely happy with both accuracy and terminal performance.

Berger - great luck on Elk and Bear. I was a bit nervous about switching to them. Crazy accurate in my rifle (semi-custom Tikka)

H4350 and RL19 got me both around 3000fps with the 175 LRX. RL19 had a slight edge in accuracy but I actually loaded my last 20 rounds with my remainder of RL19 today. Going to have to tweak that H4350 load in the future.

Strange thing happened, my accurate moa load with RL19 was shooting 3" group when I went to double check zero. Loaded some with H4350 which used to only be so-so. Now the H4350 load is shooting under moa.
