Help a Cheap Guy Be Cheap

Im looking to upgrade my spotting scope. I have the current gen Razor 65mm and am looking to get the Kowa 77mm. For some reason im one of those people who likes getting a great deal more than getting the item itself.

So I am wondering whats considered a great deal on a Kowa setup (body and eye piece). It seems new they are $2300 ($1600 body and $700 eye piece). Anyone know what used ones go for? I also will be at the sheep show in Reno in febraury and I wonder if I can score a great deal there.

Great choice but I don't know of any discounts other than if Cameraland has a demo model.

He does have a body available for $1300. For some reason Im thinking I could get a complete used setup for around $1500 from the classifieds if I wait long enough.

I just started hunting a few years ago and have really gotten into it. I had a brother who worked at a sporting good store and got a wicked discount on vortex gear so I got the razor. This summer I went from viper binos to SLCs now that was a big jump.

I have been looking at that same scope too, but if buying used you may want to look into the warranty
