I’m a 29 year old first time bow hunter and wanted to join the forum to give myself an upper hand. I have never been on a successful hunt (only been out 2 times, didn’t grow up around hunting). I’m looking forward to being a part of the community.

We're close. I'm in Isle of Wight county, just south of you. Do you have friends that hunt? Especially in the east it can be very difficult to get started hunting due to lack of public land. I sent you a PM but since you're new I don't know if you'll get it. I think you have to post 10 or 15 times in order to be allowed to use PMs.

@elkstabber I replied to the PM but I still don’t have the best grasp of this website. If you are looking for a hunting partner for a day out or have any good info to help put me on my first deer it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! I am in a similar situation not growing up hunting and getting into it as an adult. I try not to focus on success or failure, just enjoy my time outdoors. Good luck man.
