Just joined. Great site. Awesome info available and I hope to contribute in a positive way.
I grew up hunting South and Central Texas. Whitetail, Hogs, Dove, Duck, Quail, varmints...etc. Started with long guns and have moved into bow hunting over the past 7-8 years.
Began hunting out West about 12 years ago and try to plan a trip at least once a year. Have had success... and tag soup... on Pronghorn in New Mexico, Elk and Mule Deer in Utah/Colorado (private and public...guided and DIY). Also enjoy fly fishing in the Rockies during the summer.
Back home I hunt redfish on the coastal flats with a flyrod when I can't chase big game.
Currently planning a DIY/OTC/Archery Elk hunt as a backup if we don't draw tags.
