We live 11 miles north of Red River!

Last year, my right hip got to where it wasn't stable.
A trip to the orthopedic surgeon and he shows me the x-rays. It's bone on bone!
Not only that, but the head of the femur is ovate rather than round!

Feb 2, I report for surgery. Not my first rodeo. I had my left hip replaced in '05.
Post surgery recovery went very well then.
I come out of surgery THIS time, and I can't move my right leg! The pain us excruciating!
The doctor comes in post surgery.
Your hip was a mess! Not only that, your right leg was a bit over an inch shorter than your left. When we got the prosthesis in, we had to stretch your leg muscles to get everything even.
THAT'S why my right thigh is on fire!

It's Sunday morning. Two days post surgery. I can finally get up on my own and walk with a walker!

...and that Hell on the Red salsa is some good stuff Maynard.
My neighbor has 340 acres on the Red he let's me hunt.
The whole place has 4 trees, but across the fence, you never know what's going to pop up!20210222_192616.jpg20210222_192630.jpg
This is the last one I shot down there.
My blind sits up on top of a bluff above the river.
I can see across into Texas. From the front of the blind, I can see 4 Indian casinos, IH 44, 1 town and it's on the Sheppard AFB flight path. We see T-4 trainers constantly on approach to land.
