Are there any chairs close in weight to the 18.5oz Chair Zero? Looking for a balance of light weight and cost.
IME, this very much depends. I found the Nemo pretty uncomfortable- the rear frame digs into my upper back. Buddy found the same. Probably worth trying them all for fit.Not cheaper but the Nemo moonlight is more comfortable.
Thats what I have found.Appears some folks are confusing the Chair Zero and other Helinox products. Bottom line is - to my knowledge - the REI Flexlite Air is the only real competitor to the Zero in terms of weight & function.
I haven’t had any issues, the ball and sockets on mine are tight. The other thing I like is that the little fabric case spans the bottom legs to help prevent the sinking in soft ground.Neat - that Nemo chair does look like a real 3rd competitor in the space.
My brother bought the regular (heavier) Moonlite chair, and I thought it was very comfortable. Until it started dropping my brother, me and anyone else who sat in it on the ground - that unique ball & socket attachment kept popping out. He returned the chair - but I have no idea if his issue was isolated or not.
