I don't think you can go wrong with the Mystery Ranch NICE Frame with the Crew Cab, Long Bow, or Metcalf. I love the NICE Frame's concept and design, but my excessively deep arch causes the NICE Frame to dig into the base of my back. If the vertical stays could be swapped out with Kifaru spec aluminum stays you could customize the fit nicely to every body type. Then the new frame extension from one company mentioned earlier adds to that custom fit when you need additional load lift.

I just got my Kifaru Late Season with the 24" aluminum stays, which was the right choice for my deeper than average arch, and am very impressed. I'm definitely going to get 22" stays for it which will be for my daypack mode and the 24" for heavy hauling and extended trips. Based off of the way the pack sits on my back loaded, it will carry up to 70 lbs comfortably, as advertised, when running the 24" stays. I have a typical 19" torso length and would highly recommend a 26" inch frame on the duplex or bikini for 100#+ loads or if you have a 21" torso length. By the way, everyone claims the Kifaru hip belts are the absolute best and I have to agree.

I can't speak for Stone Glacier, but they look like a solid line of packs and would fit into the daypack category. However, if you prefer a shorter frame for day hunts, then the 25" frame may be a little tall for your taste, but it will definitely handle heavy loads. Best of luck to you and take your time before making a decision.

The T1 is where it's at for my type of hunting. I can shoot my rifle or bow without a problem with the pack on.

I'm not going to haul out "part" of a deer or a bear when I can haul the whole thing in one trip.

Day pack mode.

Meat mode. 130 lbs of elk meat.
