Looking for solid tent stakes that can be driven through hard ground without bending easily. For my Seek Outside tipi, I've had bad experiences in high winds and I like knowing the tent's not going anywhere. I've been using 10" stansport stakes that cost only 99 cents, but they do bend and the plastic tab on top breaks when I use a shovel to leverage them out of the ground. This is for car camping only so I don't care how much they cost. What are you using?

I use msr cyclone when I solid holding power.

I use these military stakes for my springbar tent

For car camping literally nothing beats lag bolts. They work in virtually every substrate. Bring a cordless impact gun. I like the Spax ones with a washer.
Do you need any attachment points on the lag bolts for the tent?

I use mine for a Kodiak Canvas that has metal loops. I use washers and they cover enough of the loop that it's secure.

You could probably use something like this if you needed an actual loop or just double loop your tent cord or a loop of paracord around the lag bolt.

Makes sense. Thanks.

In hardware aisle HD or Lowes have spikes. Look like giant nails. Idk actual name but we used them on a trail crew. Galvanized 10” long nails. Cost about $2 apiece. Work great dont bend and good for other camp uses.
