I don’t leave for Colorado for nearly 2 weeks (18th)

and about to go crazy till then, getting all camping junk ready.

So.......anyone hear em yet???!!!!

My son and I got home about midnight from NW Colorado. We got there last Thursday before the 90 degree days and we weren’t in camp 10 minutes and we heard a bugle from the next ridge. I waited until about 15 minutes after dark and let out a bugle and had 3 responses from the next ridge.

My buddies in MT say it is hit or miss so far. They have been able to get things stirred up, though, so the fire is stoked, just waiting for it to boil.

I'm hoping they are silent in my favorite area and all the opening weekend guys get discouraged. I get there on Wed, and want the place to myself for at least a couple of days.

Heard a few at night in NW Colorado. Expecting that to change this week. Temps to drop dramatically this coming week. Was pretty warm opening weekend and this past week. Good luck everyone. Headed back to camp tomorrow.

There were a few bugling in Central Colorado the last couple of days.

North Idaho, heard about 30 bugles yesterday morning from 6-9am from at least 3 different bulls. I called in a 5x with a couple cows but my buddy was unable to seal the deal at 35 yards due to some brush sending his arrow off the mark.

In Arizona hunting deer, they have been bugling a bit in the evening on last couple mornings, saw a giant thrash a tree this morning, he bugled a few times.

Elk have been bugling since August 28th just outside of Ketchum, Idaho. Scouting paid off. I got a nice cow at 8:30am opening morning.

Just got back from south central colorado this morning. Spent the week hunting and temps were extremely hot and I didn’t hear anything during the day. First hour or two in the morning when heading back to bed and throughout the night where I was at.

I was just in Southern Colorado and had good bugling starting on the 3rd. Couldn’t strike anything up midday but mornings and evenings were solid.
