Headed out. Any experience on bear behavior on cold spring days?

It looks like the next four or five days could end up being pretty cold. Somewhat dry though. Anyone have any thoughts or experience on hunting bears in the spring when it's colder than usual?

I’m hoping it limits the green up so it narrows the places too look for bears. It may cause them to just keep napping.

Can't specifically answer your question, but one thing that seems to generally hold value is midday until dark is more conducive to activity than early am.
It's been a weird weather year around my way, although bears have been out some time now, we aren't finding them in usual spots like slides and open areas. They seem to be down low in creek bottoms more.

Good luck!

Well just got back from my bear hunt. 5 days in the backcountry. Not a single bear spotted this year. The pressure back in there has increased quite a bit the last 3 years. I need to find a new area I'm afraid.

Slow bear hunting on cold, gray, windy days in my experience in BC. Clover is slow to emerge this spring but leaves are coming in in my areas. Should get better in a week.
