Hey fellas, anyone running the Hybrids on a M700 LA or SA?

How are you dealing with the uneven ring and bridge heights?

I have a LA with a rail that I ended up bedding the rear bridge since it was not even close to being even with the front.

Not keen on lapping the heck out of them either.

Thinking I will have to do something with the rear to get things to line up.

Suggestions appreciated!

The rings are front and rear specific and are made for the height difference, as do Talley’s and any other reputable ring/base maker. In the case of the Hawkins they are actually orientation specific too because of the milled in MOA. Concerned that you had a rail that you had to rig up? You shouldn’t have to do that.

Exactly what Chris said - the height of the base in the rear is higher on a 700 mount…..thinner front.

This is a 700 LA rail, 0 MOA sloped. You’ll note the left (rear) is thicker than right (front).

Bed them just like you bed a rail except use a solid bar like the ones Kokopelli sell or used to sell with slots in it to access the screws. The rear bridge on Remingtons are almost never ever flat so I bias/base everything off the front. I machined my own bars.

Edit: After looking at their website I don’t think it was Kokopelli that sold those bars. Not sure where I borrowed the idea but someone made them commercially.
