Has anyone else had experience with the Hawke Endurance 350 legend scope? I bought one and the illuminated dot in the center is not very bright. Even in complete darkness(my basement with the lights off) I couldn't see the first 2 light settings. I contacted their customer service about this issue and got told that as long as I can see the other light settings everything is fine. Yes I did change the battery for a brand new one. With gun season starting this weekend here in Iowa I guess I will see how well the brighter options perform. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

I have the same scope. I checked in my basement, lights off, very dark. Setting one is very dim, but I could see it, setting two is dim, setting three very easy to see. It was too dark to see what the scope was aimed at.
I use setting 4 at first and last light. Legal shooting, 30 minutes before sunrise/after sunset.
Have you tried it at different magnifications?

I used it during our gun season and found that settings 4 5 and 6 work well for twilight and full daylight. I just think its odd having a setting that is so low its hard to see in pitch dark when you wouldn't shoot anyways.

I have a hawke on my crossbow and really like the dim settings. Trying to look at a deer 40 yards away through illumination is tough. You need it very dim or you cant see through the illumination very far. As long as there are settings that work for you be happy. Many are just to bright.

Usually guys complain about illumination not going dim enough it over powers the target. Probably the reason it goes so dim. I also do not use the lower settings.

In most states it is illegal hunt in full darkness for deer. So why worry about it?

I have a fulfield 350 L bdc scope. Works good. No idea how it works in low light. Will figure it out when have it out in low light.

Pretty much need a better scope for true 30 minutes after dark on a cloudy day.
