That makes the euro look awesome. Do you have to apply it every so often? Or is it one and done type deal?

I did it myself at my family’s place. Funny enough we don’t boil them, we pressure wash the heads. It is definitely a dirtier process, but the results are fantastic. Maui Taxidermy could certainly clean one up for ya. Haha yeah the normal tourists wouldn’t appreciate that! My last trip in November I brought the wife and got a friends condo on the water for her, while i stayed with fam upcountry. Day before we left I was washing out my bloody pack and gear at the condo, neighbors weren’t having itSquirrelyDan, who did the mount for you? Or did you do it yourself? I've done several muleys and elk myself, but boiling a head at the beach front condo in Maui might not go over so well...
If your asking about gun and glass I’d argue yes.Might need to tap in as I am trying to put together a trip next year.
Would same set up for Whitetail work?
Goats are an Acquired taste. I eat a lot of wild game....I can't even swallow Goat without getting the dry heaves....in fact the smell of it cooking is disgusting. Thankfully my buddy had some fresh raw tuna- otherwise I would have went hungry.but now reading this thread again and hearing you guys say you like the meat has me thinking otherwise.
I was on the Big I in January for a family vacation. Hunting was secondary but still saw pigs, goats, and sheep nearly every day, the problem was finding them on the huntable portions. I know a lot more now and would hunt them again but wouldn't make the trip exclusively for that. Would likely go archery over modern next time around also.Has anyone here hunted Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Lanai, and Hawaii(main island) ?
I've only hunted Kauai and MAYBE i'm just lucky but I came across a lot of animals.
It sounds like Oahu is very difficult.
Lanai sounds like its mainly a place for axis but access is difficult
Maui is good hunting and Hawaii is easier..
Does this seem accurate?
Maui is good hunting IF you have access. Better off paying for a guide. the limited public land we have is hunted near 365.Has anyone here hunted Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Lanai, and Hawaii(main island) ?

Good old Waianae, the fishing is awesome but definitely not a place for tourist. I can only imagine what tent city is like today.Maui is good hunting IF you have access. Better off paying for a guide. the limited public land we have is hunted near 365.
I would argue Lanai is one of the easiest for access between the state hunt and guided hunt available, but getting a place to stay and vehicle rental is the limiting factor.
Oahu is not that hard in theory, just be willing to hike a bit where its a little treacherous (I know a guy who has fallen before, thankfully he fell through a tree which slowed his fall down). Also you need to leave your truck at the foothills of Waianae which is something I am not willing to do even as a local these days. A rental car on that side of the island there is a driving target for break ins.
Big island as you said is probably "easiest" just for sheer amount of land there is gives you more options.
As an outsider you probably wouldn’t have had the house long before it burned down or you were ran out of town. Some buddies and I fished out of there a couple times until our boat was sank in the slip. All of the electrical was cut going to the batteries so bilge pumps didn’t have a chance. Not like they could have kept up with the thru hull hoses that were cut anyhow. The tent city in Waianae is huge, there seems to be a few of them. There’s also a massive government homeless camp there now.
That’s such a shitty part of Hawaii, I looked at some places there, we’d never been to that part of the island but I thought since there’s hunting there we should look. Places seemed relatively affordable there at least.
I guess I was also surprised at how the parking at all the beach parks was more or less empty, a big contrast from the beach parking on the rest of that island.
There is a decent gated community in Makaha but once you leave that area….you’re back in wainae. As an outsider you probably wouldn’t have had the house long before it burned down or you were ran out of town.
