Have you ever cancelled a hunt or know someone who has?

Congratulations on an awesome ram! I remember reading through this thread a while back. Pleased to see you ended up going. So…What kind of mount are you getting?

Probably a pedestal, either freestanding or wall. I tried to convince the wife a full body was in order but she wasn't having it, lol. And honestly, that's a good chunk of money that can stay in the hunting trip fund. I might consider having some replica horns cast for the shoulder mount and keep the original skull as-is. I honestly enjoy holding the horns as much as I do looking at a shoulder mount, so might just do both.

I would highly recommend the replica. That is what I did. I put the replicas in the wall pedestal I had done and kept the real horns on the euro

Great writeup, awesome hunt and sheep. I feel you on the draw back home, as much as I want to stay in the mountains, sometimes it just doesn't make sense.

I'm going to do a replica of my Idaho ram as well, expensive but I think it will be cool to still be able to put your hands on the horns. And, I know plenty of people that will never get to hold them and feel the weight otherwise.

Im proud of you op. Your starting to understand what the rest of us know. The enjoyment of a hunt is not related to how tare the tag is or how expensive the outfitter is.
