That's why you spend the money while you can enjoy it.
I've started changing deeds on real estate so they don't go through probate and the state can't put their mitts on the parcels.
Hopefully its a moot point and I go quickly. Had one heart attack in November and another in late May. Heart surgery in June. No males on Daddy's side live past 60 and those on Mama's side have full blown Alzheimers in early 70s.

More people need to consider doing this. The family farm that my siblings were going to inherit had to be sold when my uncle had a stroke. He had to sell everything to pay for his assisted living facility, so a 100+ acre property was gone in an instant.
