Looking at boots for sheep hunting . Bought some Schnee Beartooth and used last year on elk. My feet were much happier than in my old scarpas.

Would it be worth trying some Hanwang Alverstones ? Or rock what I have ?

Alverstones, and most all Hanwags for that matter, run very very narrow. I couldn’t get my regular width fit comfortable even in wide Alverstones. Besides the toe box tightness however, they were hands down the most comfortable boot I have ever put on. Their heel cup fit is unmatched. Just didn’t work for me where I really need it to fit. I would also caution about there waterproof failures. Seems, many have suffered with that. Not an issue to have on a sheep hunt.

Personally,I say rock the Schnee’s.

You need the Hanwag Ancash II as it is a very wide forefoot last, but same heel as regular lasts

I had to much heel slip in the Schnees/gornell wides, but well built boot
