Expanding from my High-end midwest hunting boot thread from last year. I have been wearing the HanWag Makra Combi GTX for all my hunts up until super cold treestand sits. I do wear boot blankets in the stand, but I am looking for another boot that has just a little bit of warmth to take the edge off. The Hanwag Makra Combi GTX has been my favorite boot thus far.

The Hanwag Sirius II GTX and L&S Mountain Hunter Warm really have my attention this year with the holiday sales coming up.

Does anyone have any experience with either one or potentially have both of them and could offer some assistance?

Application: Flat to steep and deep ground in the mid-west. Cold weather, crossing some creeks, mud, snow, etc.. Always wear boot gaiters. Pack is around 40 pounds.

What are your thoughts?
