Hanwag Omega GTX issue.

Interested if anyone else is running the Omega? I've used the Alaska GTX for 15 years and switched to the Omega for my goat/sheep hunts in steeper terrain.
I love the boot even though they are on the heavy side my biggest complaint was Hanwags decision to use fabric "loops" for the ankle lace point, they lasted the first couple months before tearing out. Nothing my cobbler couldn't fix but still disappointing for a $600+ boot.

I've been using Omegas for quite awhile and never had that issue. But I do Obenuafs my boots pretty heavy. Maybe the wax helps the loops last longer.
