Handloading vs Archery?

Why do only one?.

Have to echo this. I'm fully engaged with both. Haven't shot factory ammo in a decade and I'm nuts about bow hunting. Really it just opens up your hunting opportunity more. If you've got the reloading stuff now, set it up and get going. If you can get into a used bow for a few hundred bucks, there every where on archery talk. Or get one next year, bird in hand and all

All this great advice is exactly why I love this Forum! Thanks.

I like many of you have gotten myself into many hobbies. I've been duck hunting since I was 7 so there is no looking back there :)
Im encouraged by how everyone feels about reloading. I have only had my head in my reloading manual for a couple weeks, but it all ready has a good portion of my attention haha. No doubt I will be sticking with it. I'm going out Monday to test my first batch of hand loads so I would imagine its only going to get "worse" from there.

Archery is something I've had a major interest in for a long long time. After this season, I will start the search for a bow. I'm loving the fact that I haven't heard a single person say that high end archery equipment is a must haha. I'm eager to move to AZ. I have heard a lot about the many outlets/stores/ranges the will be at my disposal, and boy will it be great after only knowing the landscape of California laws.

Just remember........for most guys like all of us, we don't just get into something. We "become" something. So you start shooting guns and you HAVE to start reloading. You start fly fishing and you HAVE to start tying your own flies. You start archery, and you HAVE to start building your own arrows, and buy a press to work on your bows. Notice I said "bows" and not "bow".;) That's just the way we are. These things aren't hobbies, they are obsessions.
