Handgun while hunting

If you are hunting in an archery season or with an archery specific tag then you can't bring a hand gun in CA.

Thanks for the info. It's difficult to not carry one hidden away somewhere where no one will see it. I don't plan on breaking the law, but it's stupid for it to be illegal when we do it to keep yourself safe.

G20 10mm or S&W 44 carried on gunfighters inc chest holster. Have had grizzly encounters in NW Montana black bear hunting in the spring also carried while bow hunting. Good piece of mind. Don’t know cali regs unable to chime in there.
