Handgun while archery hunting?

glock 29 10mm in owb. galco leather to be exact, although a kydex would work well too. i prefer the leather because it doesn't make any noise when something hits or rubs against it like plastic/kydex.

Keep 9mm (P365) with hollow points behind my binos in a Hill People kit bag, also basic survival items like firestarter, water treatment, tourniquet. I've not been to grizz territory but if so I'd stick with 9mm just swap load out to hardcast or screwdriver tip rounds and bring the X-Macro, which is my normal EDC as it's easier to shoot faster and more accurate with a full size grip.

I used to take a large caliber, now I just take a .22 with a suppressor in my chest bag. Tired of wrecked arrows on grouse, and at my age I just don’t care if some critter wants to try me.

Glock 20 with Safariland paddle holster. Before that a G21. I jumped on a chance to get a G20 10mm because if I’m going to carry, I want something with a lot of shots and punch.

Anybody here carry a handgun while bowhunting? If so, what and how.
I carry my Ruger super single six with a 22WM cylinder or a S&W M69, 2.750" 44mag in a crossdraw belt holster. For targets of opportunity like coyotes, foxes, etc.

Mike
I carry either a Glock 22 Gen4 or a Glock 43x. I like the Glock 22 for the ease of use but it feels like the 43x is out of the way more. I am however debating on going to a Shadow CR920 as both a mountain gun and concealed carry. Both are carried in a DIY holster setup under my bino harness
