I all but have my mind set on trying one of these, but I have one question for the western hunters. Any issues with the the arm lifting the arrow or containment problems after you've had your bow in sideways or worse positions? I'm looking for the confidence I get with a QAD.

There's zero containment problems with the Hamskea. As far as lifting the arrow it may not be centered if youre canting the bow but will center quickly when you level up to shoot but it'll always lift it.

I've been using one for years and it is a non issue. As long as you have the containment cage on it is impossible for it not to catch and lift the arrow. I don't even use any sort of an arrow holder with mine. Just leave loose in the cage and put moleskin anywhere the arrow may touch.

I use the Hybrid Hunter Pro - love it, zero issues. Best rest I have ever used and I was a QAD user with no issues.

If I were to have any complaints it would be the cord and clamp system they have. Both are cheap but that's minor as they're easily replaceable. Second is the "anti bounce back" spring. It can be stretched easily if the cord gets snagged. But again it can be easily removed and still functions flawlessly.

That being said it's easily becoming my favorite rest to set up. Super easy and it's an easy to tune rest. Having the micro adjustment is really nice. Not to mention it's built rock solid.

Not one complaint with that rest! The new Hybrid Hunter is the cats ass. Been shooting them for 4 years now and cant see myself switching to something else.

What's your thoughts on field repair and POI after?

I spent some time with this rest last night and I seriously have no idea how you could break this thing. Looking at it side x side with a QAD is night and day in ruggedness. Not only is it built like a tank, being that its limb driven doesnt require timing like a QAD/Ripcord style rest.

Field repair on this rest is not really a concern. I don't see this rest having issues to where I feel I'd need to break it down in the field it's that well built.

This. I had all sorts of timing issues with ripcord sos. Shooting a smackdown now but the hybrid hunter will be the next rest I buy.

Well, I'm changing things up wholesale this year and will be shooting both Hamskea rests. Already have a VersaRest waiting to be installed, and as of tonight have a Hybrid Hunter on the way for bow #2. All my other rests are getting sold.

Are people here using the limb clamps, or just tying off the cable to the limb with one of the limb pads? I shot a very small amount with the VersaRest last year, and feel like I got some stretch in the spring because the launcher blade wasn't all the way down.
